At the Department of Art History, Visual Art and Theory (AHVA) you are encouraged to engage with the art community within and outside the UBC campus in many ways throughout your degree.
Students hone their artistic practice through different showcases and exhibitions throughout their time at UBC and diverse roundtable and critique events. In addition to these, two journals are produced under the AHVA umbrella, publishing both undergraduate and graduate students’ work.
The department regularly uses live models for its painting and drawing classes. If you are interested in becoming a model for the department, please download the application package for information and application procedures.
