Laurie White is a curator and writer whose research explores modes of ecological practice in contemporary art and theory. She is particularly interested in works of art that model ecological consciousness through systems thinking and complexity. Her writing and exhibition projects address topics such as ecological methodologies for writing art histories, ecofeminism, ecological futurity, representations and constructions of nature in photography, and the relationship of formal abstraction to extra perceptual networks and environments. Originally from Sheffield, England Laurie holds an MA in Critical and Curatorial Studies from the University of British Columbia, where she is currently pursuing a PhD in Art History.
