The Department of Art History, Visual Art and Theory will offer most courses online in term 1. Details for individual programs are noted below.
Undergraduate Courses
ARTH (Art History) Courses
All undergraduate ARTH courses in term 1 will be completely online.
Instructors are currently determining whether online courses will be synchronous (i.e., “real time”), asynchronous, or a combination thereof. These details will be posted in the individual course notes in the online schedule as they become available.
VISA (Visual Art) Courses
Most VISA courses in term 1 will be online. The department is looking at ways to offer in-person options for students in certain VISA courses in term 1, unless noted in the list below.
At this time, we can confirm that the following courses will be offered online in term 1:

- VISA 401A: Advanced Open Studio (with Gareth James)
- VISA 401C: Advanced Open Studio (with Jeneen Frei Njootli)
- VISA 401D: Advanced Open Studio (with Christine D’Onofrio)
- VISA 480: Advanced Seminar I
