On the week of September 18, we were pleased to receive Autumn Star Chacon to the department for a one-week in-person intensive to conclude her Geoffrey & Margaret Andrew Fellowship.
Based from a pop-up studio in the Audain Art Centre, Autumn conducted studio visits, a contact mic workshop in a fourth-year studio course, visited the MFA seminar, and foraged from the MFA lounge fridge for materials for her performance in the AHVA Gallery. A big thank-you to our faculty, students, and staff for attending the welcome luncheon and to the community present for Autumn’s performance at the AHVA Gallery.
Last year, during the first part of her fellowship, Autumn gave an online artist talk and conducted virtual studio visits with MFA students. Visit here for the original announcement of Autumn’s fellowship.
