The Art History Undergraduate Symposium fosters a supportive environment for art historical research and critical reflection at the undergraduate level. At the annual event, student scholars present their research to peers and faculty members, receive feedback on their work, and prompt lively discussion on a range of historical and contemporary issues in the field.
Join us on October 30 for presentations by Héloïse Auvray, Alyssa Cayetano, Katja Lichtenberger, and Yasmine Semeniuk centered on works by Artemisia Gentileschi, Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio, Lucinda Childs, Philip Glass, Sol LeWitt, and Diego Rivera.
This year, the event will be held online, so we ask that you RSVP to receive an event link ahead of time by emailing ubcahsa@gmail.com. The event will also be recorded and shared on the Art History Students’ Association’s social page(s).
We gratefully acknowledge the financial support of the UBC Art History Students’ Association, the Museum of Anthropology, the Walter H. Gage Memorial Fund, and the UBC Arts Undergraduate Society, as well as the editorial and financial support of the Department of Art History, Visual Art and Theory.
