Carolyn Stockbridge (b.UK) is a British – Canadian artist, working in Painting, and related media. Stockbridge is interested in how painting responds to contemporary anxieties like; political, economic and environmental crisis. They have exhibited work internationally since 1994: CICA Museum Korea, MAMRio Brazil, Access Gallery Vancouver, Belkin Gallery Vancouver, Elliott Louis Gallery Vancouver, DCA Gallery LA, Atlantic Gallery NY, Charles H. Scott Gallery Vancouver, Dynamo Gallery Vancouver, Selkin Secant Gallery LA, NYU East Galleries NY, Berlin Film Festival Germany, Channel 4 UK, Video Inn Vancouver, Douglas Udell Gallery Vancouver, Grunt Gallery Vancouver, The Art Students League NY, Prince Street Gallery NY, Atlantic Gallery, NY. Their work is held in private and corporate collections in Europe, UK and the Americas.

Stockbridge has spent considerable time in New York and Los Angeles where they became a painting studio assistant for artists in NYC and Woodstock, NY, and collaborated with LA artist collectives by contributing music scores for independent film, video and documentary projects. Stockbridge has studied at; The Art Students League of NY: Otis College of Art and Design; Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design, and in 2017, earned an MFA in visual art and theory at the University of British Columbia.

Carolyn Stockbridge teaches painting in the Department of Art History, Visual Art and Theory and the University of British Columbia in Vancouver | xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Territory.
