Liz Magor’s art work explores the mediums of installation, sculpture and photography, and plays on the elements of fiction, dramatization, survival, refuge, and identity. She is Associate Professor in Visual Arts at the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design. Since the mid-1970s she has been exhibiting in Canada and in high profile international events, including Documenta 8, The Venice Biennale and the Sydney Biennale. In 2001, she was honoured with a Governor General’s Visual and Media Arts award.
