Please join the University of British Columbia (UBC) Department of Art History, Visual Art & Theory (AHVA) at the AHVA Gallery, in the Audain Art Centre on Wednesday, November 14 at 5 p.m. for the opening reception of the AHVA Faculty Exhibition 2018—an exhibition of recent work by 15 members of our studio faculty.
The opening reception will feature a book launch for Gu Xiong: Migrations and An Exhibition Never Opened, which detail and document Gu Xiong’s recent exhibition in Chongqing, China that was shut down by the Chinese authorities, the day before it officially opened. There will be a closing performance piece Parking by Cathy Busby on January 10, 2019.
